Would someone at Mixtape Monday for once call bullshit in one of these interviews, please? Where’s the gotcha spirit in rap jouralism when you need it?
If all of the aforementioned dudes — none of whom has yet released even one album in 2009 — wind up putting out two, I will Warner Herzog my wingtips. Seriously, what’s to be gained from claiming you’re going all two for Tuesday on us in ‘09? I know the rap game isn’t populated by the world’s best self-editors (I hear you knocking, Wu-Tang Foreva), but maybe just work really hard on putting out one strong set of songs. It’s pretty much all the diehards could ask for from any of these guys at this point. Except 50. Apparently his fans also want Mystery Science Theater gonzo porn adventures.
